"Enriching Every Day" is the 2010 theme for National Nursing Home Week. This year’s theme was selected to honor those who are “Enriching Every Day” for others, thus adding value to life and overcoming many of the infirmities of age and disability. Those of us who minister to the elderly experience having our lives enriched on every visit!

May 9th marks the start of National Nursing Home Week, which has been celebrated since 1967 after being established by the American Health Care Association (ACHA).

"Enriching Every Day" is the 2010 theme for National Nursing Home Week. This year’s theme was selected to honor those who are “Enriching Every Day” for others, thus adding value to life and overcoming many of the infirmities of age and disability. Over the last 19 years, our lives have been greatly enriched by visiting the elderly.

James M. Borrie, author of "Peter Pan", said " Those who bring sunshine into the lives of others cannot keep it from themselves." This quote has rung true time and time again.
