A Tribute to Mom
Mom spent her last days in a very well-appointed care facility in Holland Michigan. Many people testified at her funeral what a blessing she had been to them, and how she ministered continually to her fellow residents and staff at the Inn. This was not a surprise to us, since when Mom lived in South Florida near us, she was a regular in our weekly Faithful Friends Nursing Home Visits. Mom was an inspiration to us all, as she would discard her walker, grab the handles of a wheel chair, and escort the residents to the activity room for our program.
Her cheerful smile and friendliness to the residents were really appreciated, as she communicated the Love, Joy, and Peace of Jesus Christ to them, in a way only she could do. It was her prayers and support that helped us to continue on in the ministry God had called us to do. We love her and miss her very much. Please join us as we salute our "special moms" during this Mother's Day and National Nursing Home Week.
Note: These photos were taken recently during a visit by her granddaughter, Stephanie and great-grandsons, Benjamin, Seth, and Jason. Mom is in the bright blue dress.
